How should a watch be waterproof?
The waterproof function of the watch is usually divided into 30 meters, 50 meters, 100 meters, 200 meters, 300 meters, etc. It mainly depends on the waterproof rubber ring on the mirror, back cover, crown and so on to meet the corresponding waterproof standards. The 30-meter water-resistant watch can be used in daily grooming or in the rain, because its design is mainly to prevent the movement from being damaged by dust and moisture. Water-resistant watches over 100 meters are suitable for water sports such as swimming. However, the waterproof function of waterproof watches will also be reduced by external reasons, so how should the watch be waterproof?
Generally, waterproof watches are not suitable for use in hot baths, saunas, or environments with large temperature changes, because the waterproof rubber ring will expand and contract due to temperature, resulting in voids and accelerated aging, thus affecting the waterproof function.
The crown should be kept in the normal position, the threaded crown should be tightened, and the crown should not be adjusted in water.
The waterproof rubber ring and crown of the watch must be replaced regularly according to the usage. Quartz watches must be replaced with waterproof parts every time the battery is replaced to ensure good waterproof performance.
